Students with US citizenship may be eligible for partial tuition refunds. To benefit from the AOTC credit (American Opportunity Tax Credit), one must study at one of the institutions participating in the program.
In Israel, this is relevant for students studying in one of the following seven institutions:
- The Technion
- Haifa University
- Reichman University
- Tel Aviv University
- Bar-Ilan University
- Hebrew University of Jerusalem
- Ben Gurion University in the Negev
As of 2023, a student can get a refund up to a total of $4,000, spread over four years (i.e., up to $1,000 per year for four years).
If you are an American citizen studying at one of the above institutions, contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.
